Who owns International Scout now?
Scout Motors Inc. American division of German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen Group and a member of the Volkswagen Group companies. Volkswagen AG obtained the Scout brand after acquiring American truck manufacturer International Motors (previously Navistar) in 2021, and the Scout brand was relaunched in 2022. American-born and American-built, Scout vehicles will be engineered in Detroit, built in South Carolina, and backed by the manufacturing and production expertise of Volkswagen Group – meaning, there’s plenty of road ahead.
