Five Iron Golf is headquartered in New York, NY. Five Iron has quickly re-shaped urban golf culture by putting a modern spin on an old classic. We began our story in 2017 from humble beginnings with one location on Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District, the origin of our name (created by taking the “Five” from Fifth Avenue and the “Iron” from the Flatiron District.Is Five Iron only for “real” golfers? Definitely not. Our simulators come loaded with ways to play that are perfect for beginners, kids, or a group just looking to have some competitive fun.The main performance difference between a 5-irons and the other two clubs is that the 5-iron will be the hardest to hit and therefore should only really be in the bag of better players.Beginner and casual golfers should start by replacing their most challenging long irons, typically the 3 and 4 irons, with hybrids in the 19-23° range.Five Iron is a casual environment; proper golf attire is not required. We recommend athletic clothes and sneakers or any rubber-soled shoes. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to wear your golf spikes.
