Where are VW Grand California made?
After a special production line was added at Volkswagen Commercial’s factory in Poznan, Poland, the Grand California is being built by VW itself, at the same factory that’s making the current Transporter and Crafter panel vans and the California camper. The Grand California is part of a broader Volkswagen camper lineup, which includes the smaller Caddy California and the California campers. Sadly, these models are not available in North America. However, there are reports that a California version of the electric ID.Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ proud story of building freedom on four wheels continues with the Grand California motorhome. Featuring a comfortable, spacious interior, cutting-edge technology and a platform taken from the proven Crafter, the Grand California motorhome expands upon previous generations of campervan.
Which is the biggest VW camper?
The Grand California comes in two sizes, labelled 600 and 680. The first is big, the second is bigger – though only the 600 gets the raised ‘camper’ roof, with the 680 more proportionally similar to a van. The Grand California 600 includes two expandable panels for extending kitchen space when needed. However, the Grand California 680 offers you a more extended kitchen with additional storage and worktop space.
