Download the free myVW app for your smartphone. Depending on your operating system, you will find its available for Android or iOS in the Google Play Store or App Store. Log in to the myVW app with your Volkswagen ID.The new VW Car-Net® system combines your Volkswagen vehicle’s technology interface with your smartphone, optimizing your drive. Get access to Google Voice™, your iTunes music library, and your smartphone interface displayed on your dashboard, whether it’s an Android or Apple.Download the myVW app from your app store. Click “Sign up” and enter your email address and a password. Once you accept the Volkswagen ID terms, you’ll get an email with a link. Click on the email link and then follow the steps to set up your account.VW Connect – Your introduction to online services offering you everyday assistance with many digital services which you can access free of charge following one-time activation. Usage of these free services requires you to sign up online to a separate VW Connect contract with Volkswagen AG.

Is the VW app connect to Apple CarPlay?
Car-Net App-Connect includes the MirrorLink™, Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™. The availability of these technologies may vary from country to country. CarPlay is not an app that you can download, it’s software that comes with your headunit and is started as soon as you plug your phone in.First go to Settings → General → CarPlay on your iPhone®. Then choose the applicable vehicle. To disable an app, click the – icon in the upper left corner of the app icon. To re-enable an app, click the + icon in the upper left corner of the app icon.On your car’s infotainment system, switch from Apple CarPlay to Android Auto mode. Once in Android Auto mode, access the Google Play Store or the Android Market directly from the car’s dashboard screen. Using the search bar in the Android Market, type in the name of the app you want to install.CarPlay, like Android Auto, does not require you to pay an upfront cost or monthly subscription and is entirely free.
