What is the VW app used for?
The volkswagen app allows you to interact with and monitor your id vehicle from your mobile device. Features include remote locking and unlocking, remote climate control setting and the ability to check your id’s battery status remotely. If your vehicle is ever stolen, the volkswagen response center can work with authorities to access your vehicle’s location remotely.Volkswagen’s five-year free Car-Net Hardware will include automatic crash notifications, an emergency assistance system, a stolen vehicle locator, and various anti-theft alerts.If your vehicle is ever stolen, the Volkswagen Response Center can work with authorities to access your vehicle’s location remotely. Is VW Connect free?
We Connect opens up Volkswagen’s digital services to you and makes you Volkswagen connected. Following a one-off activation, you can use We Connect’s features free of charge. All you have to do is sign up to We Connect online via Volkswagen. Download the free myVW app for your smartphone. Depending on your operating system, you will find its available for Android or iOS in the Google Play Store or App Store. Log in to the myVW app with your Volkswagen ID.Take note of the activation code displayed in the Volkswagen app and go to your vehicle. Log into your infotainment system under „Menu“→ „Settings“ →„We Connect“ resp. VW Connect“. Enter the activation code from the app and click „Continue“.
