Is VW Connect available on all VW models?
Volkswagen App-Connect® is available on most new VW models. For new vehicles, VW Connect is available to you free of charge for an initial period of 10 years. VW Connect Plus can be extended following expiry of the free initial contract period of two years (from initial delivery) via the In-Car Shop of your infotainment system or via the Volkswagen Connect Shop .
Is the VW app free to use?
Download the free Volkswagen app for Android or iOS. Log in with your Volkswagen ID in the app. If you have not yet set up a Volkswagen ID, the app will take you step by step through the registration process. Add your Volkswagen to your user account in the Volkswagen app using the vehicle identification number (VIN). The first thing you’ll need to do is download the MySubaru app. Locate the app in the respective Android and Apple stores and install it. Once the app is installed, you will be prompted to create an account, which will require you to enter your vehicle identification number (VIN).
What is the VW app connect?

What is my VW ID?
Your Volkswagen ID is your key to the digital world of Volkswagen. With your Volkswagen ID, you can easily log in to various services, apps and websites. You can also securely administrate your personal data, such as your name, address and telephone numbers, in your Volkswagen ID. Soon after you drive your VW off the lot, you’ll receive your account information—including your account number—in the mail. With your account number, you’ll be able to start making payments, enroll in AutoPay, and more on My Account .
