In March 2017, faulty airbags brought a recall, and the most recent issue was in June 2017; the ABS and ESP could fail on cars built up to May 2010. Volkswagen has a strong reputation for reliability and the Scirocco should live up to that expectation. It’s based on the Golf so we expect problems to be few and far between, with the last recall in 2016 relating to the airbag and seatbelt tensioners not triggering.
