I own a 1. With all the issues with the 2. TSI(great engine but has its quirks) and the VR6 Atlas, the 1. I do my oil at around 6k miles. If people just followed the factory maintenance schedule, they’d get much more life out of vehicles. The feeling of turbo lag and delayed throttle response in the 1. T is mostly gone in the 2. T quattro. Within a few minutes of driving the 2. T quattro made my thoughts about the 1.
