Three steps to your connected car Download the We Connect Go app for Android or iOS. Install the DataPlug from your Volkswagen dealership and follow the activation instructions in the app. The Volkswagen app allows you to interact with and monitor your ID vehicle from your mobile device. Features include remote locking and unlocking, remote climate control setting and the ability to check your ID’s battery status remotely.If your vehicle is ever stolen, the Volkswagen Response Center can work with authorities to access your vehicle’s location remotely. Stolen Vehicle Locator is for use by law enforcement authorities only. See Terms of Service for details. Stolen Vehicle Locator is not available on ID.
What is a VW DataPlug?
With its DataPlug and the app linked together via Bluetooth, the possibilities created by Volkswagen Connect are in the user’s hands. Can a DataPlug be used on mobile devices?

The data plug turns your Audi into a connected car alongside the Connect plug and play app. The data plug is available to purchase from your local Audi Centre. Please note – The Audi data plug and the Connect plug and play App will continue to be operational until 31/12/2026, they will then be withdrawn from service.
