What is the VW car-Net app-connect?
Use your favourite apps in your vehicle! Thanks to App-Connect, that is easier than ever. It allows you to conveniently use selected apps and content right in your Volkswagen. They are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can be comfortably and clearly controlled within your line of vision. Activate VW Connect or We Connect Conclude the VW Connect or We Connect contract as shown in the app, then navigate to “Connect to VW Connect / We Connect” in your infotainment system. Is the VW app connect free?
For new vehicles, VW Connect is available to you free of charge for an initial period of 10 years. VW Connect Plus can be extended following expiry of the free initial contract period of two years (from initial delivery) via the In-Car Shop of your infotainment system or via the Volkswagen Connect Shop . After those five years are over, you can continue service for $20 a month, just like the first Car-Net® iteration. Some 2020 Volkswagen vehicles, like the new Tiguan, have an integrated 4G-LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Right now, Verizon is the only provider, but there are plans to expand to other providers.After a six-month free trial, Car-Net costs $17. Two-year ($378) and three-year ($540) contracts represent a cost savings and are options to consider in the long run. Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect is the only category of features which is free without the Car-Net Subscription.
