Do you have to pay for VW car net?
Paid subscription is required to continue services after complimentary plan expires. Services require VW ID, myVW app, and myVW account, cellular connectivity, network compatible hardware, availability of vehicle GPS signal, and acceptance of myVW and Car-Net Terms of Service. Wi-Fi is available as part of the In-Vehicle Data plan or In-Vehicle Premium plan. Alternatively, current Verizon and T-Mobile customers also have the option to add a monthly Wi-Fi hotspot subscription to their existing mobile plan. Is VW Connect free?
VW Connect is the direct link to your ID. Usage of these free services requires you to sign up online to a separate VW Connect contract with Volkswagen AG. Download the myVW app from your app store. Click “Sign up” and enter your email address and a password. Once you accept the Volkswagen ID terms, you’ll get an email with a link. Click on the email link and then follow the steps to set up your account.
