Volkswagen Car-Net® is a suite of connected car features that’s available on select trims of some of the most popular new Volkswagen models including the Passat, Jetta, and Tiguan.After a six-month free trial, Car-Net costs $17. Two-year ($378) and three-year ($540) contracts represent a cost savings and are options to consider in the long run. Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect is the only category of features which is free without the Car-Net Subscription.
Is VW Car-Net compatible with Apple CarPlay?
With Volkswagen Car-Net® App-Connect at your disposal, you can connect your car to your smartphone seamlessly. Connect your phone through Android Auto®, Apple CarPlay® or MirrorLink® to see your maps, messages, music and other apps displayed seamlessly on your dash. To activate your Car-Net system, you begin by downloading the Car-Net app for iPhone from the Apple App Store or the Android app from the Google Play Store to help get connected. Or you can press the i-Button located on the overhead console to start a 6-month trial.
