Is VW Connect free?
For new vehicles, VW Connect is available to you free of charge for an initial period of 10 years. VW Connect Plus can be extended following expiry of the free initial contract period of two years (from initial delivery) via the In-Car Shop of your infotainment system or via the. The mobile keys can be redeemed within the first four years of concluding the VW Connect/We Connect contract. The transfer of a mobile key requires a key sender identity check via the Volkswagen Ident process. Once installed on a compatible smartphone, the mobile key has a one-year validity period tied to the device.
