You need to have daily living or mobility needs and need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition, to apply. If you’ve reached State Pension age, you’ll need to apply for Attendance Allowance instead of PIP.You need to receive a qualifying mobility allowance to be eligible to join the Motability Scheme. If the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) decide you’re not eligible for this part of PIP, you cannot apply to join the Scheme.You can get Personal Independence Payment ( PIP ) if all of the following apply to you: you’re 16 or over.You need to be aged between 16 and State Pension age to apply.
