We have a range of electric and ‘green’ cars on the Motability Scheme, and we’re always looking to make the Scheme more eco-friendly. So you know, Tesla are not on the Motability Scheme. You must be in receipt of one of the following Mobility Allowances to be able to lease a new BMW on the Motability Scheme: Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) You need to receive a qualifying mobility allowance to be eligible to join the Motability Scheme. If the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) decide you’re not eligible for this part of PIP, you cannot apply to join the Scheme.You need to be aged between 16 and State Pension age to apply. You need to have daily living or mobility needs and need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition, to apply. If you’ve reached State Pension age, you’ll need to apply for Attendance Allowance instead of PIP.
